The passion behind Purely Biscuits | Handmade Shortbread Cookies
Baking has always been more than recipes for me; it’s a way of sharing love, comfort, and artistry. My earliest memories are filled with the smell of butter melting into flour and sugar, and the joy of seeing simple ingredients transformed into something beautiful. That feeling never left me, and years later, it became the foundation of Purely Biscuits.
When I moved to Tampa, I started baking for friends and neighbors, experimenting with flavors, ingredients, and presentation. I discovered the beauty of shortbread, the way it crumbles delicately, the endless ways it can be dressed with glazes, flowers, or chocolate, and how timeless it feels. Soon, what began as a hobby turned into something more: a small-batch bakery dedicated to making cookies that are as beautiful as they are delicious.
But Purely Biscuits isn’t just about indulgence, it’s about inclusion. I wanted my cookies to be enjoyed by everyone, which is why I offer gluten-free and vegan shortbread options alongside my classic recipes. As I like to say:
